Light, renewal, and care
Diwali is a season of lights celebrated in many Hindu, Jain, and South Asian traditions. Gujarati families may mark several connected days, including Gujarati New Year. Families clean, light lamps, pray, share sweets, and visit loved ones in ways that differ from home to home.
