Notice what blocks the way
Before Ganesh Chaturthi began, Kabir helped place flowers near the doorway. He noticed that the step was too high for Mrs. Shah’s walking stick, and the music would be loud near her seat. The family moved a chair to a quieter corner, cleared the path, and asked what would make the visit comfortable. Mrs. Shah chose to come for the first prayer and stay for the sweet offering. Kabir learned that removing an obstacle can begin with asking one careful question.
What the beginning teaches
Ganesha is often associated with wisdom and removing obstacles. In a family setting, that can mean noticing access, sound, comfort, and welcome before a celebration begins.
