Aarav wanted the Janmashtami cradle to swing perfectly. His sister tied the cloth, his uncle checked the knot, and his mother placed a bell where small hands could reach it safely. Aarav wanted to pull the bell again and again, but his grandmother asked him to listen between the sounds. In the quiet, he heard everyone working: a spoon in a bowl, a broom on the floor, and a neighbor laughing at the gate. The cradle moved because many people had cared for one small space. Aarav rang the bell once, softly, so everyone could hear the care around it.
