Origin and background
Holika Dahan is the bonfire observance on the eve of Holi. In a widely known tradition, it recalls Prahlada’s devotion and the defeat of harmful power, while local stories and rituals vary.
હોલિકા દહન હોળીના પૂર્વસંધ્યાનું અગ્નિ પર્વ છે. જાણીતી પરંપરામાં તે પ્રહ્લાદની ભક્તિ અને અનીતિ પર સદભાવનાના વિજયને યાદ કરે છે; સ્થાનિક કથાઓ અને વિધિઓ બદલાય છે.
Description
Communities may gather around a prepared bonfire, offer prayers, circle it, and mark the transition from winter toward the spring celebration. Follow local safety rules around fire and public gatherings.
સમુદાયો તૈયાર કરેલી હોળીની આસપાસ ભેગા થઈ શકે છે, પ્રાર્થના કરી શકે છે અને તેની પ્રદક્ષિણા કરી શકે છે. અગ્નિ અને જાહેર મેળાવડા માટે સ્થાનિક સલામતીના નિયમોનું પાલન કરવું જોઈએ.
