Origin and background
Ekadashi is the eleventh lunar day of each waxing and waning fortnight. Many Hindu traditions observe it with fasting, prayer, and remembrance of Vishnu, while the exact rules vary by sampradaya and family.
Description
Some devotees follow a full fast, while others choose fruit, milk, or a restricted meal. Parana is commonly tied to the following Dwadashi and should be checked against a local panchang.
Why it matters
Ekadashi represents discipline, devotion, and a regular pause for spiritual focus. This calendar publishes one primary date and does not publish alternate Gauna or Vaishnava dates.
